By Air

The easiest way to arrive at Pellin is by flying to Naples (Capodichino) and then take the train to Agropoli. A very good bus service operates between the airport and the train station (Napoli Centrale) taking about 20-30 minutes. The train journey from Naples is about 90 minutes, depending on connections. Note that you may have to change at Salerno, the provincial capital. Once at Agropoli, Castellabatte is a 20 minute taxi ride. Car hire is available and we recommend that it is pre-arranged.

Alternatively, you could fly to Rome (Fumicino or Ciampino), and then take the train to Agropoli from Roma Termini, Rome's central station. Transfer between the airports and the railway station is served very well by public transport. Ciampino is served by bus and Fumicino by train (light railway / underground). The train journey from Rome is about 90 minutes, depending on connections. Note that you have to change at Napoli and/or Salerno.

By Train

The journey to Castelabatte can be made by train: Eurostar to Paris, Paris to Rome or Naples, Rome or Naples to Salerno and finally to Agropoli. The journey takes about 24 hours with sleeper / couchettes available on the Paris to Rome / Naples section. Booking is recommended.

By Car

From Rome take Autostrada A1 Southbound in the Napoli / Caserta / Salerno direction. Just past Caserta Nord, leave the A1 and join the A30 heading in the Salerno / Reggio Calabria direction. At Salerno, join the A3 heading south in the Reggio Calabria direction.

From Naples take the A3 heading in the Salerno / Reggio Calabria direction. Stay on the A3 past Salerno heading in the Reggio Calabria direction.

Once on the A3 past Salerno heading in the Reggio Calabria direction, exit either at Battipaglia or Eboli. Take the State road SS18 heading in the Paestum & Agropili direction. Exit at Agropoli Sud and follow the signs to S. Maria di Castellabate and Castellabate.
