Arriving in Italy

As a note, as most air travellers know, to get the best prices for your flight, booking early ensures you get the best air fare deals. For example, a flight from LA to Naples booked in March is c$700 whilst booked in September you can expect to pay at least and $1500+.

Travelling from within Europe

If you are travelling from within Europe, the nearest airport to Pellin Italy is Naples Capodichino. This is a regional airport and is served by several carriers from many European cities, for example BA, Easyjet, RyanAir and Monarch.

Naples Airport is served by a very good bus service to the main train station, Napoli Centrale. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes. You may also take a taxi but be careful to negotiate the fare with the driver before getting in the taxi.

Travelling from outside Europe

If are flying long haul from outside Europe, then you will probably fly into Rome Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (Fumicino), Italy's main international hub, or through one of the other European hubs like London Heathrow, Amsterdam Schiphol, Frankfurt or Paris CDG and get a connecting flight.

If you fly into Rome Fumicino you then have the additional option of using public transport for your onward journey to Agropoli. Fumicino is 32km (c20 miles) from Rome and served by a train service to Roma Termini, the central station in Rome, and takes about 30 minutes. The onward journey to Agropoli will take about 4 hours.

Onwards to Agropoli

Italy is served by an extensive rail network including the High Speed Trains, Le Frecce. You can plan your journey, check times and fares and book your train from the trenitalia website. Another useful link for rail travel in Italy is ItaliaRail. You need to book your seat on Le Frecce.

Roma Termini to Agropoli

From Roma Termini you may take the train to Agropoli. These are either intercity or La Frecciarossa, the high speed trains. Some intercity trains run straight through to Agropoli and some you must change at Naples or Salerno. La Frecciarossa terminates at Salerno. Typically, the journey takes less than 3 hours using La Frecciarossa. From Salerno, the orward Journey to Agropoli will take 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the train.

Napoli Centrale to Agropoli

From Napoli Centrale you may take the train to Agropoli. These are intercity or regional trains, Tereni Regionale, and you may need to change at Salerno. Intercity trains take just over an hour whilst regional trains take an hour and a half.

Agropoli to Da Tony, Ogliastro Marina, Castellabate

Once at Agropoli, Da Tony is a 20 minute taxi ride. Car hire is available and we arrange this with prior notice.
